One account unlocks both. We work remotely and support landlords, agencies and tenants across the country with the best property management software Kenya has to offer.
What we build
The two platforms exist because the same landlord has to do two very different jobs. Day to day, a portfolio is an operations problem — rent arrives, something breaks, a meter needs reading. Occasionally, a unit comes free and it has to be advertised. Keeping those in one system means the operational record and the advertised listing never drift apart.
The management platform is where the work happens: rent collection with receipts stored against each unit, scheduled reminders, maintenance tickets and utility readings. The listings marketplace is where a unit becomes visible to renters looking for somewhere to live, with map-based discovery across Nairobi — Kilimani, Westlands, Kileleshwa, Karen, Lavington, South B — and beyond. Whether you are looking for a bedsitter, a single room, a 2-bedroom apartment, a 3-bedroom house, a villa or a townhouse in Nairobi, CribsKenya connects you directly with verified landlords — no broker middlemen, no hidden agent commissions, no viewing fees.
Who it is for
- Landlords with one building
- Collect rent, log maintenance and keep utility readings against each unit without maintaining a spreadsheet. Start on the management platform and publish only the units you want to advertise.
- Agencies managing many buildings
- Group units into buildings and buildings into a portfolio, then give staff role-based views. Payment history, receipts, open tickets and utility logs stay attached to the unit rather than to a person.
- Tenants looking for a rental
- Browse verified listings on the marketplace, then use the same account to see your own payment history, receipts, open maintenance tickets and utility readings. You never see other tenants' data or a landlord's full portfolio.
How we build it
- Your portfolio stays private unless you publish it
- The management platform is a private workspace. Moving a unit onto the listings marketplace is a separate action you take, and you decide which units that applies to.
- One account, not two
- Your email address links the two platforms. Signing up once gives you both; there is no second login to reconcile and no migration when you move between them.
- Records are kept, not deleted on plan changes
- Upgrading or downgrading changes your feature set and unit limit. Properties, payments, maintenance history and utility logs are preserved. If a downgrade would push you over the new unit limit you are told before anything changes.
